In 1986 when Rushton Brown, Roy Ashby, Dean Rushing, Claxton Jordan, James Gunnels and Tom Taggart were Trustees, it was decided that the Furnace Hill Cemetery had to have more property. The Second Part had been taken up fast because the plots were free. There was no place left for people who wished to be buried at the Furnace H They purchased Part III from J. W. Spearman and wife, Sara Jo Spearman. They also puchased Part IV from Dela Mae Boman. W. Henry Allen was Probate Judge.

Sharon K. Shaw was the first one buried in Part III. She is buried in Row No. 3, Plot No. 54.
